World Conference 2010… We Share… I’m on my way, almost

Hello, amazing and wonderful person(s) who is(are) reading this. Tomorrow evening (Thursday 8 April 2010) I will be getting into motorized vehicle and starting the 13 hour or so trip to Independence, MO where I will have the opportunity to share in worship, fellowship, discussion, and legislative sessions with my sisters and brothers from around the Globe. As I do so, I will see many people I have not seen for some time, and I will hope that we as Community of Christ can in our actions reflect our willingness to embrace our calling and live up to our enduring principles / core values. I know I will be reflecting during that time, even writing a bit here and there (shocker) but I do not know what opportunities I will have to share via this medium….

So I was thinking, what can I do? Well I’ll have my computer, and if I have internet access I will try and post at some point. However in case I do not, I decided to embrace a service that I have no desire to embrace. In the side bar you will see “short bits” Here you will see my three most recent “tweets” from conference. I doubt I’ll make many, it’s just not my thing, but I want to be able to share in some way. I may also do status updates on Face Book for those who are my friends and family to see. (as I can do these things on my phone) So via twitter you will be able to see it real time, and at the end of the week a post will hopefully be created that places it all here… we will see how this works.

After Conference I will hopefully have the time to start writing more theological, mission and or scriptural reflection and engagement posts, and the “Short bits” will disappear

Revisioning, changes…

Hello One and all,

I’m not sure if anyone will read this, as the site has been down a few weeks. I had planed to have it down only a day or two and for it to come up new and fresh. However with all of life events of late, many unexpected changes and challenges that just has not happened.

stay tuned though, as changes are on their way. However they will have to wait until I get a bit more settled and figured out my computer problems.

If you have ideas of what you would like to See here, what you would like me to write about or share, leave a comment or…

Also looking for ideas for visual design changes as well.

To any and all who are subscribed to the sydication feeeds (RSS or ATOM),

If all goes well you will not notice a difference in the feeds; however, as I just changed they way they are handled you may. If you experince any problems please let me know and I will revert back to the old system. If all goes well I might make a few other changes. Please send any ideas, comments, suggestions, and critizims my way.

Community of Christ Lectionary

Just wanted to make a note that this afternoon I updated the Lectionary Page, and also added a page containing the remainder of Year B (2005-2006) and a page with the themes and scriptures of Year C (2006-2007). In the near future I will be adding Year A (2007-2008). At some point in the future I hope to change this section of the site to contain the Year A, Year B, and Year C Sunday lectionary, and a separate section that will contain the specific Years’ theme’s and scriptures (like the current pages do). However, that is a project for another time. (Yes I know the specific years can be found on the Community of Christ site; however, I prefer to have them here also.)
