Commencement

May 14, 2009 @ 8:12 am

In September of 2003 I had my first seminary class and thought in three years I would have my M. Div. Within a year I would find myself at a different school. Then less than a year later needing to take a sabbatical from my studies for a bit more than a year. New bumps and hiccups and now almost six years after that first class, and at my third school I sit and write these words… Behind me on my table lies a black master’s gown, cap, and a hood. Ready to be worn next week at commencement. It has been a long road and I wish I could write everyone who has aided me on the journey, but that is an impossibility. So I thanked  ten people specifically with the five cards the school gave me, I write this as a general thank you to all who come here, and may write a few letters to individuals and or communities that have aided me thus far. Now it is time to step into the unknown and share and live the Peace of the Living Christ. If any of you wish to attended (why who knows) Commencement is  on the 23rd at eleven o’clock at the Dickinson Courtyard at Methodist Theological School in Ohio, 3081 Columbus Pike, Delaware, OH. It’s still hard to believe the day has almost come when I receive that expensive piece of paper.

Peace be with you all,
