I am part of a small faith tradition of just a quarter of a million members. Yet that quarter million spreads across the globe to over 50 nations. we are a community which distance truly can not separate, filled with many wonderful cultures and ways of doing things, we are united in the message of Christ and our unique calling within the greater communities we are part of. I have had the wonderful opportunities to share and explore our communal calling with members from many different lands, and have formed wonderful friendships.
For some within my community they are perhaps content with their local area, for some their ministry is focus primarily there with just some impact of the larger. Mine however is impacted greatly by the larger, my brothers and sisters are found upon the many continents, I love them all, care for them all, and some have had the wonder opportunity to truly get to know and form friendship with. As I reflect upon my call of late, that tie to the global community which I am a part has wrong out. In the past couple of days I have also had the wonderful opportunity of sharing, reflecting, and praying with some of that family. Do too the amazing wonders of technology have been able to share with to dear dear friends, who are family to me as we uplift and share our concerns and joys for each others and for other brothers and sisters of ours. I am truly blessed to have this global family, who truly does love and care for one another and seeks to be faithful to the calling the Eternal has for us, one of sharing the Peace of Christ and bringing forth healing and reconciliation to a tired and broken world so that one day it may be restored to that divine glory it is called to be and all may know and experience that amazing love and grace which is given freely to all but we often fail to recognize.
So today, on this day where I say the burning bush or a blooming tree lit up by the sun) and felt the calming presence of the Eternal, shared in conversation with a friend on the other side of the globe who I haven’t physically seen since August, I give great praise and joy to the Eternal Creating One for the wonder of creation, and the community I am blessed to be part of and be called to serve within.
Peace to one and all,
