Early morn

April 29, 2008 @ 7:02 am

My mind is a racing,
or rather a rumbling,
I awoke with the light of early morn,
Through close blinds it seemed in to greet me,
The clock next to me blank,
Unplugged I thought.

Up I rose to the door,
Flipping the switch,
The only light was that of early day,
Then came more and away it went once more,
Back to early morn,
Out the door I went.

Now in the bath,
Towels upon the floor,
To shower in the early light of morn,
Water flowed cooler than norm hand past its place,
Refreshing, washing me,
As my mind wandered.

My mind is a racing,
or rather a rumbling,
As now there is more than light of early morn,
I wonder of others here, elsewhere, past present future,
Comfort and joy,
Puzzlement and wonder,
Flow through my mind,
As I prepare for a new day.
