The year has come

September 3, 2007 @ 7:49 am

A week ago today at 2pm EDT I sat in a classroom at school for my first class of the year.  It was exciting to some degree, but… That is to say, all my classes I am looking forward to, even though there is a lot of work involved, and I am glad to see old friends and make new, and yet something prevents it from being a total joy. Perhaps it is the countdown of some of my fellow students to their last day in December or May, when their programs will be done, and my longing for the completion of my own. No, its not really longing for completion, but rather longing for the next phase of my journey on the path of discipleship. In part I see that phase starting now with my field ed placement and serving at the Kirtland Temple, and yet it feels like I am staggering on the path, trying to push through some dense misty fog through which I can see but just a shimmering of what lies ahead, and seeking desperately to be able to see it clearly and engage it fully. Perhaps by the end of the month things will have taken place that will to change and new adventures and the start of that next phase, then again perhaps not. Only time will tell, or so some say, but I have never heard time talks so…

Peace
