The past few days, okay weeks, have been an interesting and trying time. Some of the difficulties were of things outside of my control, other were more difficult due to my failure to respond in the best of ways. They joys, perhaps similar, in that many due to things outside of my control, and my responding well, even if it meant stepping outside of my comfort zone to do so.
As I read the news, I am worried at times of the difficulties that may lie ahead if we the people of this planet continue to make, or allow those who we allow to lead us, to make certain decisions. I am speaking of no nation in particular, no particular leader, but all of us together. It is time for us all to start reflecting more deeply, especially those of us who feel called to reflect the peace of Christ and promote communities of joy, hope, love, and peace throughout the world, of our actions and our responses to other peoples actions. We must actively engage in life transforming ministry that leads to a restored creation.
In the weeks ahead, my life will be full of new choices, new adventures, new opportunities, and more. I am excited and ready to jump into this. September will be an interesting time as I finish my move, attened class, serve in Kirtland, experience conference(s), and hopefully be interviewed for a position I would love to serve in, one that would challenge me to grow and deepen my commitment to be a disciple of Christ. Only through the experience of liner time will I come to know how these events unfold, and until then I wait with great anticipation, no I embrace and engage the possibilities of now, so I may do the same with the ones to come.
