My two week intensive is over. I am glad to have finished the term, as it was tiring. However, I enjoyed the class and the people in it.Though I will see some of them again, have some of them in classes again. Never again will we all be together learning about worship. I will miss the opportunity to hear about worship understandings that are based upon a different theologies that mine or those of Community of Christ, and to share with them understandings from a Community of Christ background.
Over those two weeks I wrote seven different types of prayers for class, a exegesis of a Community of Christ congregation (and a bit on Community of Christ as a whole), a worship space analysis that congregation (and brief reflection on the lower inner court of the House of the Lord), what that congregation can learn from other cultures, the liturgical year as experienced by that congregation and Community of Christ as a whole, a short paper of the meaning of baptism in Community of Christ, a sermon
It has been a great, though tiring time, so I am glad I can now rest (for a for a week), but sad that we will never meet again in that same community. Oh, if all goes well my car will be fixed by Monday, then I just have to go and find a new tire to replace the slightly damaged one.
