Yesterday afternoon I went back to Silver Falls State Park. Though I had planed to go by myself, when I was getting ready the dog became extremely excited, and I could not say no. So I filled a bottle with water, and left with her, for our second outing of the day.
Upon arrival we started out on a walk, quickly headed back to the van to grab the camera, and took off again. I was able to get a few decent pictures, but I learned it is very hard to take pictures when you have a little dachshund wanting to explore and sniff everything. After walking around for a bit we headed back to the van, dropped off the camera and walked some more. We returned to the van several times, but each time she indicated she didn’t want to go home yet. Eventually though, I could tell she was worn out, she could tell she was worn out, but as she was enjoting herself, she still did not want to leave, but I put her in the van and we drove home. As drove a deer darted across the road in front of us.
Yesterday was a glorious day. It was wonderful to get up to the falls twice, even if neither time I was able to do the full trail as I had the dog with me. It was great to get out and run on the trails by myself and to walk on other paths and trails with the dog. It was simply amazing, praise be to the creating One.
