I am in the process of importing old posts from www.xanga.com/nickelsax/ to this version of Deacon Lyle. As I do so some old posts may appear dated today when I forget to check the “update timestamp” box. Also I realized that since we switched from PST (-8GMT) to PDT(-7GMT) at the start of April, that posts have been off by one hour as I forgot to adjust the content management system for the change. The only exception was this morning’s post, as I postdated it yesterday when I wrote it. However this meant it appeared an hour later than intended. I have (I believe) updated all the times for posts during this time, so they are correct now. However due to the fact that some posts went from 11:xx pm to 12:xx am, and thus the date was altered some links may be broken. After I finish back posting December 2004, I will check links in posts that refer to old posts to ensure all links are correct. I apologize for any incontinence this may cause.Today or tomorrow I plan on also doing the following updates to Deacon Lyle:
- Adjust headings on the archive pages so they are in a larger font size
- Create an “archive” page and a “search” page and set the links at the top of the site to go to them.
- Remove or replace the “link” link that I just realized is in the nav menu
- Change the vertical nav menu to show only the past few months and not all previous months under archive.
- Possibly alter some of the “post colander’s” colours.
Regarding the back posting: Some have been spell-check, some have not, few have been corrected beyond that. I plan to leave them primarily as they are, at least for now. I also have not been using the rest of post tag, and so the full posts will apear. At Some time I will go back and place the tag on all long psts, both those first posted here and those I have imported in as I feel that is the best way for displaying content here.
Later today expect to see a post regarding this morning’s service.
Update 6:21pm: All (unless I missed one) of 2004 Deacon Lyle posts have been imported. Now all that is left are posts from Jan 2005-October2005.
