First week (Xanga)

January 9, 2005 @ 9:12 am

It has been an interesting first week of the year for me. I have started a new term at school, as I mentioned in my previous post. This term I am taking the following classes:Theology in an Ecumenical Context, Ministry in a Multicultural Context, and Christian Scriptures. The classes sound as if they will be good, though will require a lot of reading and writing. I hope that my books arrive soon, as I have one of the many I need so far, and well it isn’t the one I need to have read by Wed.

Yesterday I went to a Priesthood and leadership meeting for the Rainier Valley Congregation, and I was right that they would be discussing the future of the congregation. I think the meeting provided some needed things. I also think that I may have volunteered myself for a lot of responsibility, I guess time will tell if they take me up on it or not.

This morning I awoke and got ready, and then headed outside to catch the bus (which I missed), but as I opened my door I was greeted by a wonderful surprise. The land was covered in snow. A nice light and fluffy snow, almost an inch thick. They had forcasted snow this weekend from what I had heard, but yesterday all that there was when I awoke was a light dust on a few cars, and in the grass in a few places, today though, it is a white covered land I am in. I love the snow and thus am happy and excited.

In a bit I will go and try and catch the bus once more, so I may go to church.

I know I need to write more, and to express things more fully, but for now I leave it as it is.

Peace to one and all
