Two questions on my mind today:
1) Why when I take off my glasses and things blur, points of light, such as a candle flame, form in my vision as a circle, rather than in some shaped blur similar to the original flame shape… It just seems interesting that from my limited testing at looking at lights at a distance where they blur today, and from my memory, that no mater the shape, the blur tends to be circular, unless I squint and then moves away from that circular.
2) Why is it in many of the religious traditions of the world, (which I would argue most have at their core ideas of peace, equality, love,) are the “right end fridges” that distort away the peace, love, equality and rather focus on fear, separation, and in some cases leading to hatred, growing strongly, while those portions of those traditions that, when forced onto a spectrum would lie everywhere from a bit to the right to the middle to a bit to the left, to the left, which embrace to varying degrees the worth of persons, equality, love, peace, seem to be struggling, and even when in numbers greater than that far right have their voices of equality, peace, justice, love muted, or quieted by the roar of those who focus on inequality, injustice, fear… I see this happening in at least two of the world’s large religions as a whole, and in many of the traditions within those religions… other word religions I am not as aware of their voices and struggles, but in ways it would not be surprising if the same is true in many of them also… I hope this movement of many gathering to those who proclaim Fear, superiority, and such, is not a long lived thing…
