My first Thanksgiving all by myself… and it didn’t have to be:
Unless something changes between today and Thursday, I will be here in my apartment, with no friends or family, no traditional thanksgiving meal. I was invited to Thanksgiving dinner by a family at church. But I need to call them for times and to make arrangements to get there… the problem I don’t think I have their number, and if I do I do not know where it is. So it appears for the first time in my memory I will not be with others on this day of thanksgiving. From 1981-1999, (as far as I know) I was with my family, sometimes just the 4(81-95)/5(96-99) of us, sometime a lot more depending on where we lived, and what type of family get-to-gethers were going on. Sometimes the 4/5 of us, and also a big family get together. 2000, with a few friends and their family in Columbia MO, 2001, another set of friends and family near Independence MO, 2002, another set of friends and families Lamoni, IA, 2003 my parents, sister and her two kids, 2004 looks like no dinner, and just me sitting around this place, and my cat meowing at me, wanting the turkey that isn’t here…. All because on Sunday I forgot to get times & Phone number, though I do need the time for homework
